Do Something Green for St. Patrick’s Day!

Since Citizens for Recycling First formed in early February, nearly 1,000 individuals have signed up on this web site as supporters – not to mention nearly 400 fans on Facebook and Twitter. But we need more!

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency may publish draft proposed rules for coal ash disposal as early as next month.  If the EPA gives in to intense lobbying by well-funded anti-coal environmental groups, those proposed rules may include designating coal ash as a “hazardous waste” – an unnecessary and unjustified action that could severely damage coal ash recycling.

To be an effective voice in the debate over EPA’s forthcoming proposed rules, Citizens for Recycling First needs more registered supporters!  So do something truly green for this St. Patrick’s Day: Between now and next Wednesday, stand up for recycling and sign up as a supporter if you haven’t already.  Then encourage as many people as possible to visit and sign up.

To help you reach out to family members, friends, colleagues, customers, vendors, and others, here is some text you can send in an e-mail:

I support Citizens for Recycling First – an organization defending the safe and environmentally beneficial recycling of coal ash.  To help this green industry withstand attacks by anti-coal environmental special interest groups, I strongly urge you to sign up as a supporter with me.  It’s free and only takes a couple of minutes.

Please visit and click on “Support Us.” Then click on “Joining Here” to complete the sign-up process.

We are trying to do something truly green for this St. Patrick’s Day.  Please show your support by signing up before next Wednesday.
