‘Citizens’ to Participate in Five Public Hearings Across the U.S.

If you live near Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, or Washington DC, you will have a chance to help Citizens for Recycling First stand up for coal ash recycling.

Five public hearings will be held in August and September by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency regarding its proposed rules for coal ash disposal.  Citizens for Recycling First will attend all five hearings to testify and share information with others about why recycling should be a preferred alternative to disposal.

If you would like to volunteer to help Citizens for Recycling First at one or more of the hearings, please send a message to info@recyclingfirst.org.

If you would like to register to speak at one of the hearings, you can do so on EPA’s web site at http://www.epa.gov/epawaste/nonhaz/industrial/special/fossil/ccr-rule/ccr-form.htm. Speakers are allowed three minutes each and are also allowed to submit longer written statements if they desire.
